The City of Oxford will receive sealed bids for the re-roofing of portions of the Oxford Conference Center.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on July 9, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. local time at 102 Ed Perry Blvd. Oxford, Mississippi 38655.

Sealed or electronic bids will be received by the City of Oxford in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 107 Courthouse Square, Oxford, Mississippi, 38655, until 2:00 P.M., local time, July 23, 2024, and shortly thereafter publicly opened.

A cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the City of Oxford, Mississippi, in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, must accompany the bidder’s proposal. Performance and payment bonds and evidence of insurance will be required at the signing of the contract.

Contract Documents are available in paper or digital format. Interested parties are required to register online to view or order bid documents at www.oxfordmsbids.com. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. Bids may be submitted in either sealed paper format or electronically. Electronic bid submittal may only be made through www.oxfordmsbids.com. An official list of bidders will be maintained at https://www.oxfordmsbids.com/ to ensure eligibility requirements of the bidder are met. Any bid submitted from a bidder not on the official bidders list and/or not containing the above information will not be opened.

It is recommended that all potential bidders visit the project site to understand the scope of work, the existing conditions and where the work will be performed. All parties considering visiting the site walk-thru will be responsible for ensuring they do not have a fever, been around someone exhibiting symptoms of the COVID-19 virus or come in contact with someone exhibiting the symptoms. All individuals entering the facility will be required to provide and wear the proper protective equipment at the minimum the wearing of gloves and a face shield. No more than four individuals at a time will be allowed into the facility and each one will exercise the six-foot social distancing guidelines.

All bids submitted in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) by a Prime or Subcontractor to do any erection, building, construction, repair, maintenance, or related work must comply with the Mississippi Contractors Act of 1985, by securing a Certificate of Responsibility from the State Board of Contractors.

The following information must appear on the outside of the envelope containing the bid:

• Certificate of Responsibility/Contractor’s State License Number
• Expiration Date of License

Your bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of forty-five (45) days after submission.

The City of Oxford reserves the right to waive any and all informalities and/or to reject any or all bids.
