NS.18332.000 Lift Station Replacement - City Wide #17098

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Horn Lake until 10:00 A.M., MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2024, at Horn Lake City Hall 3101 Goodman Road, Horn Lake, Mississippi 38637 for construction of the Lift Station Replacement-City Wide. All local, state, and federal special conditions and regulations will be adhered to.

The principal items of work are as follows:

1. Demolition, removal, disposal, and abandonment of six lift stations;

2. Installation of six complete lift stations;

3. Modification and improvement of one lift station; and

4. Bypass pumping, site work, and traffic control.

The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to provide and furnish all equipment, software, and support required by the specifications referred to therein.

Contract time shall be 270 consecutive calendar days from the effective date shown in the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be assessed in the amount of $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day the work has not achieved Final Completion.

Bidder must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors establishing his classification as to the value and type of construction on which he is authorized to bid.

Each Bidder shall write his Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing his proposal. The outside of the envelope should also bear the Bidder’s name, address, and name of the project for which the Bid is submitted.

Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate, sealed and deposited with the Horn Lake City Clerk prior to the hour and date hereinbefore designated. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

Awarding public contracts to non-resident Bidders will be on the same basis as the non-resident bidder's state awards contracts to Mississippi Contractors bidding under similar circumstances. In order to ensure that Mississippi's so-called Golden Rule is followed, state law requires a non-resident bidder to attach to his bid a copy of his resident state's current laws pertaining to such state's treatment of non-resident contractors.

Each Bidder must deposit with his proposal, a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of his bid, payable to the City of Horn Lake, as bid security. Bidders shall also submit a current financial statement, if requested by the City. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.

Contract Drawings, Contract Specifications, and Bid Forms must be purchased in order for a bid to be submitted.
